Starting from Haye Farm, nestled on the slopes of the Lym Valley, guests can embark on a picturesque riverside walk to the heart of Lyme Regis. This well-maintained path meanders alongside the tranquil River Lym, also known as the River Lim, leading you through serene woodlands and past historic landmarks.
The journey is approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) and typically takes around 30 to 45 minutes at a leisurely pace. Along the way, you’ll encounter the restored Town Mill, a working watermill dating back to 1340, which now houses artisan shops and a café.
This route is part of the East Devon Way and the Wessex Ridgeway, offering connections to broader walking networks for those interested in extended hikes .
Upon reaching Lyme Regis, you’re greeted by the town’s charming streets, the iconic Cobb harbour, and inviting beaches—perfect for a relaxing day out.
